ALBERT RÈCHE

Albert Rèche, after working as a war correspondant during the Spanish Civil War of 1936, travelled extensively as a roving reporter in Europe and North Africa, before joining the Figaro newspaper after the Second World War and remaining one of its permanent special correspondants until his retirement in 1978. He then devoted his time to the history of the city in which he was born and to the everyday life of its people.
